Mr. VISHNU
Mr. Vishnu, our alumni of the Plumbing academy from the 2015 batch says,” I joined SVRCC after completing 10th standard. I enrolled myself for the Diploma course in Plumbing technology at SVRCC with the consent of my parents. I have experienced a tremendous change in my attitude and outlook toward life, both on my academic and personal front. After completing the course, I started working on a contract basis. I enjoyed the learning process. I felt empowered with the skill I learned at SVRCC. As days passed, I was able to win the confidence of my customers and I built a five men team of my own. We took projects related to individual houses as well as small business units and provided plumbing services. Today I have a net income of Rs.25,000/- per month after meeting the salary expense of all the staff and other incidental expenses. I am grateful to SVRCC for this
Vignesh S
I am Vignesh from Thondamanatham. My father is a daily wage worker and my mother is a housewife. I have 2 elder brothers. After completing 10th standard I pursued Diploma in welding at the Metupalayam ITI. Thereafter I started working as a Mechanic/Technician at L& T Pondicherry for a year and at whirlpools as a maintenance technician for a year. I was earning Rs 5,000 per month. But I was not happy because the job was temporary and the pay was insufficient to take care of my family. I got to know about Swami Vivekananda Rural Community College through my friend Raghupathi, a graduate of the first batch. I was impressed by the DELL Kaushal Kendra lab and chose to pursue Computer Hardware Servicing. During the period of 9 months at SVRCC, I learned many technical skills as well as soft skills. I restarted my career at View Paker Technology India Pvt Ltd for a monthly take home of Rs7,000. During the Covid period, my urge to become an entrepreneur took lead. Today I am into event management which fetches around Rs 25000 per month even if I organize a bare minimum of 3 functions. Today I am happy and satisfied with my life.
Ragavendran P
I am coming from Puducherry. My father works as a painting contractor and my mother is a housewife. I have a younger brother. I completed my 9th standard after which I was not able to pursue my education further due to financial issues. I was very disappointed in discontinuing my studies. That is when a friend of mine told me about this College. He told me that he had joined here and insisted I come and see the College once. After coming I was greatly impressed by the infrastructure and the fact that I could get a job and start earning my living. I was amazed looking at the DELL Kaushal Kendra Lab. As I also had a passion for computers, I chose Computer Hardware Servicing. I enjoyed my time at the College. The lab was well equipped and facilitated learning and applying what we learned in real-time scenarios. Our teachers encouraged us in all aspects and this boosted my morale. After my exams, I was placed at View Paker Technology India Pvt Ltd. I was earning a salary of Rs 3500 during my training. Today my take home pay is Rs 7000. I am confident that in the near future, I would set up my own service unit and employ people thereby helping their families.
