Swami Vivekananda Rural Community College is a leader in skills-based education started in 2008 under the Sadguru Sri Gnanananda Seva Trust set up by Mr. G V Subramanian.

The Objective

The College aims to provide employment opportunities to young men and women by combining the conceptual, practical and ethical dimensions of education, with the belief that employment of the youth would contribute favourably towards economic growth of the country, community strengthening and reducing migration

Message from our Founder

Swami Vivekananda Rural Community College is meant for the uplift of youth from poor and downtrodden families. We are focussed on bringing marginalised students back into the mainstream. Our work demands ownership, understanding, empathy and love. The task is facilitating employment-oriented education to the youth. We train the youth with appropriate skills that will not only offer them gainful employment but make sure they are employable in terms of attitude and approach from day one.

The ingredients for success are all here, including but not limited to – passionate and willing students, a dedicated and skilled team of trainers and staff and the generous support of our well-wishers, funders, trustees and the local community. I fervently hope that in the years to come the efforts of colleges like SVRCC will grow exponentially and help realize the superpower ambitions of the Indian economy and the dreams of every single underprivileged youth of India.

Let’s give our youth a better future. Let us build a stronger India. We cannot build the future for our youth, so we will build our youth for the future.

- G V Subramaniam
